5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Multicultural Bookstore 260 Broadway Richmond, CA
Meet the author, Gregory Miller, and learn more about his new book, “Black Prep School.” Join us at the Multicultural Bookstore on March 23rd, 2023 at 5:30 PM for an enlightening discussion on the impact of early and frequent interactions with the penal system on the subconscious of Black families and children. Nurse Miller draws on his experiences as a medical care provider to prisoners and early experiences in the nursing profession to shed light on the complex relationship that Blacks/African Americans have with the criminal justice system. In a frank and conversational style, “Black Prep School” highlights how multiple institutions work together to create generations who feel destined for a life of crime and years behind bars. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with the author and join in on the conversation. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
